Prof. Johannes Schöning is working within the Expertise Centre for Digital Media (HCI group), Hasselt University and is also an adjunct consultant at UCL within the Intel Collaborative Research Institute for Sustainable Cities. His research interests relate to new methods and interfaces to navigate through spatial information, such as mobile augmented reality applications and home grown multi-touch surfaces. He is involved in research on mobile apps usage (i.e. understanding how context influences people’s interactions with mobile apps and how people interact with specific types of mobile apps such as shopping support apps).

Dr. Nick Allott who is the Managing Director of UbiApps. UbiApps is a software house which focuses on web and specifically web application technology. Dr. Allott’s expertise is the definition and delivery of high technology, disruptive products. He has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, specialising in Computation Linguistics and Knowledge Representation and a Joint Honours Degree in Computer and Cognitive Science. Dr. Allott is a Fellow of the Institute of Analysts and Programmers, a member of the British Computer Society, has published in scientific and mainstream media and is a regular speaker at international conferences on mobile and high technology issues.
